Today, India has 25 million Christians, gathered for more of the three quarters in the South of the country. Faithful believers, they practise their religion with application and devotion, not for the world missing the daily celebrations and the Sunday mass. From the first gleams of the day to the last mass of the evening, the churches resounding of the malayalam or konkani songs see crowding men and women with their rosary. The climax of the religious calendar, impossible to avoid, is the Holy Week which remains the event of the year: candles in hand, hundreds of believers and pilgrims form many processions that walk the streets until late in the night.
