CHINESE SILK ROAD

The Silk Road is a famous trading route connecting Asia to Europe by which, for centuries, travelled one of the most invaluable and refined product : silk. This main road left Xi'an, ancient capital of China, through the Gansu corridor and crossed the current Chinese Xinjiang in its northern part. It ran by the towns of Turpan and Kashgar before crossing the Chinese border to reach Central Asia and the Mediterranean sea.
