We left the West Fjords for the high cliffs of Latrabjarg. This headland is the westernmost point of the entire European continent. 14km long and over 400 meters high, its cliffs shelter the widest variety of birds in all Iceland. Further south, the long beaches of Raudisandur stretch out. We then reached the Snaefellsnes peninsula where the magnificent little harbour of Stykkisholmur is nestled. Our journey finally stopped at the blue lagoon, famous geothermal source of sweet milky blue waters. |
