We leave Kangding to cross the sinuous and isolated roads of Tibetan Kham. We carry on our road until the North-western part of Sichuan, from Ganzi to the snow-covered summits of the Chola mountains. Leaving these highlands where the people still know how to preserve their Buddhist culture, we travel south of this area towards Yunnan province. Reaching then a truly important area for the Chinese, it is in the middle of the rice plantations and corn fields that we end our stay, at the foothills of the karstic peaks of Yangshuo.
